have you heard the one about Chuck Norris?
Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried.
Macgyver can build an airplane out of gum and paper clips, but Chuck Norris can kill him and take it.
Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked someone so hard that his foot broke the speed of light, went back in time, and killed Amelia Earhart while she was flying over the Pacific Ocean.
Chuck Norris doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.
If you ask Chuck Norris what time it is, he always says, "Two seconds till." After you ask, "Two seconds to what?" he roundhouse kicks you in the face.
Rather than being birthed like a normal child, Chuck Norris instead decided to punch his way out of his mother's womb. Shortly thereafter he grew a beard.
Chuck Norris appeared in the "Street Fighter II" video game, but was removed by Beta Testers because every button caused him to do a roundhouse kick. When asked bout this "glitch," Norris replied, "That's no glitch."
Since 1940, the year Chuck Norris was born, roundhouse kick related deaths have increased 13,000 percent.
Chuck Norris built a time machine and went back in time to stop the JFK assassination. As Oswald shot, Chuck met all three bullets with his beard, deflecting them. JFK's head exploded out of sheer amazement.
To prove it isn't that big of a deal to beat cancer. Chuck Norris smoked 15 cartons of cigarettes a day for 2 years and aquired 7 different kinds of cancer only to rid them from his body by flexing for 30 minutes. Beat that, Lance Armstrong.
There are no disabled people. Only people who have met Chuck Norris.
The original theme song to the Transformers was actually "Chuck Norris--more than meets the eye, Chuck Norris--robot in disguise," and starred Chuck Norris as a Texas Ranger who defended the earth from drug-dealing Decepticons and could turn into a pick-up. This was far too much awesome for a single show, however, so it was divided.
The chief export of Chuck Norris is pain.
Chuck Norris is currently suing NBC, claiming Law and Order are trademarked names for his left and right legs.
Chuck Norris recently had the idea to sell his urine as a canned beverage. We know this beverage as Red Bull.
Although it is not common knowledge, there are actually three sides to the Force: the light side, the dark side, and Chuck Norris.
Chuck Norris invented a language that incorporates karate and roundhouse kicks. So next time Chuck Norris is kicking your butt, don't be offended or hurt, he may be just trying to tell you he likes your hat.

of course....!!!
Jeffrey and I are engaged! I am so blessed to have met and grown to love such an amazing man. (and that he loves me back!) I was attracted to him the moment I laid eyes on him. It wasn't just because of the unique, adorable, handsome, manly, pure, adventous way he looked, but there was just something about his eyes. I remember looking into them for the first time as if i was looking into a deep, pure sea, not able to see the bottom. throughout the past year and 10 months of our dating relationship and the 2 1/2 years we've known each other God has allowed me to dive into that pool and greatfully swim deepper. I am amazed by what I find inside Jeffrey each and every day, and I thank the Lord sooooooo much that He is allowing me to spend the rest of my life exploring that sea of who this man is. I am also soo thankful that I can be a part of his wonderful family. I love each and every one of them. I;ve always wanted a big, loving, loud family. I am so blessed! I love you Jeffrey!!! I love you future mom and dad, shanye, justin and blythe, and kayli!!

my heart will chose to say blessed be Your Name
so jeff, david, and i headed to church this morning. we thought it started at 9:40, but rememberd it was at 9. we were embarassed, but we went anyway. so we went in, and no one was there. the band was practicing, and there were only like 5 people sitting around. we were so confused. so, we sat there for a little while, then we went to mcdonalds and came back. we went to our class at 10:40, but there was another class going on in the room, so we left. we were soooo confused. so we went to this awesome park with a 3 story treehouse thing and a wooden walkway overlooking the bay. we walked around and read the Bible. then we went the the apartment, played video games, and fell asleep for 2 hours watching invader zim. when we woke up, we went to mom's, but she wasnt there. we were confused yet again because we told her we were coming over around 7:30 to see her. so she comes home about an hour later and informs us that we forgot about the time change!! we missed one of the great days of the year-the extra hour of sleep day! we missed it for the whole year. actually not really because i get extra sleep tonite....but it's just not the same. so...how embarassing.
before i say anything else.....i need to praise God that He has led us to a church that is truly following His plan for a church body and for the way they take care of their members. it is a church body dedicated to the care of every aspect of its members lives. my mom called in a prayer request for financial needs in my family. she was just asking for pray, not a handout or anything. however, the lady suggested she apply for aid. my mom was reluctant to do so because she felt bad, but she met with the benevolence committe anyway because i needed a root canal, and she couldn't help pay for it. so...i had an idea in my head of an amout they might give that would be so amazing and wonderful. yeah...they ended up giving 8 times that amount....the full amount for the root canal. i am so amazed. this past month has been crazy.....we found that out, then the next day jeff is robbed at gunpoint and kidnapped. The Lord gives and takes away as He wills. i have learned lately that i have absolutely no idea what is going on in this world and no control over it....and that's a very good thing.

1) Reply with your name and I'll respond with something random about you. 2) I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you. 3) I'll pick a flavor/color of jello to wrestle with you in. (Maybe.) 4) I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me. 5) I'll tell you my first memory of you. 6) I'll tell you what animal you remind me of. 7) I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you. 8) If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal. You MUST. It is written!

family guy petition-no more blasphemy!!
so, seriously. why did family guy have to go and ruin the whole show by horribly making fun of God. it never used to be like that, but the new writers have changed everything. it's like they know no bounds and don't care about leaping over any lines. they shamelessly try to degrade the God of the universe, and that's so wrong.
if you would sign a petition to get it off the air, leave a comment. i'm going to.

well, i'm back in florida. it was a little shocking this morning to wake up in my own room. there was no kayli on the floor to poke in the butt, and i was not able to walk across the hallway into jeff's room and see him sleeping peacefully. i wasn't able to gently wake him up, and we weren't able to brush our teeth, put our contacts on, and walk downstairs to breakfast together. i don't know how i lasted a whole summer without my baby!!! i had the best two weeks. they were so relaxing, exciting, and wonderful. i love the thompsons. i think of them as family. i want to call his parents mom and dad, and i think of his brothers and sister as my own. we had such a great time. my favourite day was when we went to new york city. we drove over to union station in new jersey and rode to penn station, NYC. from there, we hit up the amazing attraction i've never seen. the statue of liberty, the WTC, which is still so solemn (it was amazing to see the beams in the shape of a cross), central park (there is no central perk!!), the empire state building, and times square. i wish we could have spent some more time in central park. it would have been fun to go to the zoo, john lennon's memorial, and the chess and checkers house. i also would have enjoyed a carriage ride, but time and money were limited! we saw broadway, the plaza hotel, fireworks from coney island on the empire state building at night, and we also watched a firetruck get stuck in traffic while trying to get to a fire a block away. they were filming something in times sqaure. we got a hot dog from a street vendor and new york style pizza. while we were eating, a "deaf" came beggin around our table. i really enjoyed walking across streets with a swarm of people running into a swarm coming the other way. very matrix-esque.
every day was really my favourite, though. it was just such a wonderful time of bonfires, 4-wheeling, riding the tractor, being with loved ones, eating good food, laughing and talking, being crazy, watching movies, the drive-in, sending shayne off to the navy, relaxing, and most importantly, being with my baby!!! <333

today tori and i had fun at work. we read full metal alchemist together and drew made BAM BOY SQUAD! and drew cartoon of the employees and regulars. so...this is a typical day for me. wake up at 7:07...reset alarm for 7:27. get up, leave house at 7:45. arrive at work 10 minutes later. get everything set up for a day at the cafe by 9:00-9:30. sit around until someone comes....sneakily read and converse with fellow associates. smile when my jeffrey calls. avoid grumpy managers. talk to regulars. play solitaire. closing person comes. talk to them. leave around 5. come home and relax...watch some tv or read. be bored. maybe help mom in the garden, excercise...etc. make dinner and watch law and order with mom. watcha movie or something...talk on the phone...talk to jeff....fall asleep around 1:30. not a bad way to spend a day....but goodness....I WANNA HANG OUT! friends? <3

hiei is jeffrey and my friend
well today was pretty low-key. went to applebees with me ma. then i went to the grocery store and pushed the cart around and felt all growned-up-like. then i watched yu yu hakusho in japanese, but i fell asleep because i was tired. it was weird because the characters seemed different just based on their voices. they had a different tone, therefore they came off different. i wonder if i would feel differently about people if they had different voices. not those who are close to me, but other people...for example, if i hear someone on the radio, i instantly form an idea of what they look like and an idea in my mind of whether or not i like the way that person looks. then, if i see him or her in person, that conception changes. this is all somewhat silly rambling, but i am a bit curious about how important people's voices are in determining how we feel about them. moving on now...i have i'm glad i'm a girl. it's pretty fun. it means i can be girly and a tomboy. *sigh* i'm tired and not making much sense. so long <3

tonite tryna took me to chili's for my birthday and they sang to me and gave me a mound of chocolate, caramel, and ice cream to eat. i think i will have birthdays more often. then we went to the cemetary and the spongdocks to try to take a roll of pictures. i think we only suceeded in taking 7. i was hoping to finish the roll so i could post a pic of my new tattoo, but unfortunately that will not be happening. it's doing well....scabbing a little bit but generally healing very quickly. my body is in alot of pain because i worked out and didnt stretch well enough. so...that makes for fun times, especially at work. i closed for the first time two nights ago, and that was ok. i must say, though-you night people suck with your tips. what is the deal. morning people, you rock. tryna and i listened to a ben folds all night<3 well, this post is dedicated to the girl who helped me bandage my tattoo. whoever you are, wherever you are, you are my friend. this post is also dedicated to my jeffrey for being my sweetheart. as tryna and i were walking around the cemetary, we noticed that many women's husbands died in the 70s, but they were still alive. :( we also noticed some couples who passed away within a year of each other. ~oh to die with you would be the most heavenly way to die~

yo mama's so ugly her nickname is DAMN!
Wilson A. Bentley The Snowflake Man "Under the microscope, I found that snowflakes were miracles of beauty; and it seemed a shame that this beauty should not be seen and appreciated by others. Every crystal was a masterpiece of design and no one design was ever repeated., When a snowflake melted, that design was forever lost. Just that much beauty was gone, without leaving any record behind."
Wilson "Snowflake" Bentley 1925
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From the earliest memories of our childhood, many of us can remember hearing the phrase "no two snowflakes are alike". This discovery was made in the small rural town of Jericho, Vermont by Wilson A. Bentley (1865-1931).
A self educated farmer, Bentley attracted world attention with his pioneering work in the area of photomicrography, most notably his extensive work with snow crystals (commonly known as snowflakes). By adapting a microscope to a bellows camera, and years of trial and error, he became the first person to photograph a single snow crystal in 1885.
He would go on to capture more than 5000 snowflakes during his lifetime, not finding any two alike. His snow crystal photomicrographs were acquired by colleges and universities throughout the world and he published many articles for magazines and journals including, Scientific American and National Geographic.
In 1931 his book "Snow Crystals", containing more than 2400 snow crystal images, was published by McGraw-Hill but has long been out of print. A soft cover copy, identical in all respects, can be obtained today from Dover Publications, Inc.. On December 23, 1931, Bentley died at the family farmhouse in Jericho. Because of his wonderful work with snow crystals, he became affectionately known as "Snowflake" Bentley.

wow, alot has happened since i posted last. jeff and i went to Cornerstone florida. we had a great time helping out at the stand true booth and seeing some great bands. it was alot of fun and the booth was right across from showbread's. we all got bored and got in a big rubber band fight. we watched david bazaan (pedro the lion), mewithoutYou, as i lay dying, the showdown, joelle, and anberlin. i thinks that's it.
my mom is funny because i was standing next to her watching csi and then she came in here and told me what the episode was about. i'm just thinking to myself, "mom, i was just watching that with you." she actually does that alot. she's a little absent-minded sometimes, but it's all well-intentioned.
jeff and i went to busch gardens just to ride the shiekra because a guy from his work said it was opening the 20th for passholders. yeah, well, if by passholders he meant media only, then yes, he was correct. however, i think he was actually just WRONG. so that was a wasted trip. i think we're going wednesday, though.
my new job is really great. i was thinking to myself today....i go to a relaxing, easy job where i can drink coffee and other assorted deluctable beverages and baked goods all day long with really nice customers who give big tips and fun employees. then, i drive to see the most amazing person in the world and spend time with him. we do whatever we want. go to my house and hang out with my mom....hang out with justin and blythe...go see a movie....or simply spend time walking around or doing anything. after that, we say goodnight and i go home, relax, read for a little while, talk on the phone, and go to bed. what a relaxing way to live. :)
i'm reading metamorphosis by franx kafka. it's pretty interesting. i also just finished book 4 in the rouroni kenshin manga series.....but we dont have books 5 or 6 at the store right now, so i couldnt bring myself to read 7 yet. i started reading blood: the last vampire today because jeff and i rented the movie and it was really short. i wanted to see if there was more to the story.
a customer made my day today. we had forgotten his wallet, so i found it and gave it to the GM who put it in the safe. he came back all a-flutter, and we got him his wallet back. he was very appreciative, and while my back was turned, he put a little card and $10 under my book. i wonder if he thought it was weird that i was reading blood:the last vampire. oh well. it totally made my day that he was so nice. upon every opportunity to be kind to someone, do so! you never now how it will impact their day (and visa versa)
inside joke of the day: sorry, my cat is being funny ;)
thanks for reading. <3

XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN MAY 15, 2005 20:42:35 ET XXXXX
WOMEN WHO HAVE ABORTIONS AGAIN AND AGAIN; LADY HAD 6 IN A YEAR!
A dramatic rise in repeat abortions has reinforced fears that women are increasingly having terminations for lifestyle reasons.
One in three abortions is now carried out on women who have had at least one before. London's DAILY MAIL reports on Monday.
MORE
Figures from the British Pregnancy Advisory Service suggest that women who become pregnant at university or at the start of their careers see abortion as a means of delaying motherhood.
Women between 20 and 24 have taken over from teenagers as the largest age group to have terminations-while only one in 100 abortions is carried out solely because of a medical risk to the baby.
It was revealed that one woman from London had six abortions in just 12 months!
MORE
Campaigners warned that the emotional and physical risks of abortion were being 'swept under the carpet'. The procedure can make it more difficult for women to ever start a family and many later suffer depression.
Researchers said the trend could be reversed if more support was available for mothers trying to juggle careers and families.
The new figures from the BPAS, Britain's leading abortion provider, reveal that 181,582 terminations were carried out in England and Wales in 2003, a 3.2 per cent increase on the previous year and a 15 per cent rise since 1993.
Among these some 57,241 - 32 per cent - were on women who had already undergone a termination at least once. This is almost a third higher than the 1993 figure.

heavy on the froth
so strong is my addiction to live journal that i felt the need to get online and post even though i have to get up soon to go to work. my jeffrey is sick, and that makes me very sad. i try to take care of him,. but things like having to change the brakes get in the way. i'm really glad he knows how to do that kind of thing. it makes me super happy to sit with him while he works on the car and just keep him comapny. so today i worked 98-4:30 at books-a-million. i have a new friend whom i like a latte. she and i tenemos mucho divertido while we work. she's so easy to talk to. she's fun and i like her alot. she makes me behappy to go to work. you wouldnt imagine how much more relaxed working at a bookstore is than working retail. my goodness. my new favourite thing is definately froth from steaming milk. delish-nescent. time for bed.
